Deccan Odyssey

The Deccan Odyssey is an elegant luxury train offering a unique tour of India’s sights, with all modern comforts on board. This renowned Indian luxury train is named after the Deccan Plateau in the state of Maharashtra. A journey on the Deccan Odyssey allows you to experience the opulent lifestyle of the Maharajas, enjoy fine dining in the restaurant carriages, and sleep in deluxe en-suite compartments or one of the presidential suites. The design throughout the train, including both the sleeping quarters and public areas such as the dining and lounge cars, is intended to reflect the rich lifestyle once enjoyed by 16th-century Indian Maharajas.

The Deccan Odyssey operates several trips each year across India, most lasting seven nights between Mumbai and Delhi, with stops in Rajasthan’s famous cities and in Agra, where the Taj Mahal stands. Other routes highlight the sights of Maharashtra and the Deccan Plateau, with some journeys even reaching places like Varanasi on the Ganges or Goa with its beautiful beaches.
